Eligibility

You must be an AMT town or partner member to be eligible for this funding. (‘Town through Partner’ members need the authorisation of the local authority who pays their membership fees).

Given the nature of the lottery funding for this programme the Towns-4-Towns Exchange Fund is only open to members within England.

Criteria

If you are awarded a grant you will need to write a case study report which we can then share with other member towns, who may also be interested in developing a similar project.

This means that we will prioritise the projects we feel are most transferable and will result in case studies that are likely to be most useful to our member towns.

Applications to learn from another town
When assessing the fund applications, we will look for a clear and thorough argument that explains why you have chosen to learn from this particular project.

Although we appreciate that you are still in the development stage, in your full application we would like you to indicate

• how you will replicate the project
• an awareness of potential outcomes – such as increased footfall in the town or empty business premises filled
• how you will put monitoring systems in place to check whether you have achieved your outcomes

Applications to share your project
If who want a grant to help share a successful project we will want to know

• why you feel other towns will be interested in learning about your project
• how you will monitor the impact of your event or guidance materials, for example, ongoing monitoring and follow up with participants

Funding available

The minimum grant request is £100 and the maximum is £500

The first step is to complete our short online Expression of Interest form (below) or simply email us the information below and we will confirm your eligibility and send you the application form.

Applications will be assessed by a panel from AMT, prioritised according to need and potential impact, and allocated on a rolling basis annually.
