Inquiry into future of upland communities
By amtadmin • Feb 17th, 2009 • Category: NewsThe future of England’s upland communities is the subject of an inquiry by the Commission for Rural Communities.
The CRC wants views and experiences from towns and communities to support the inquiry.
Stuart Burgess, the Rural Advocate, said: “We want the call for evidence to bring in views, ideas, and first-hand experiences from local people, businesses, visitors and wider beneficiaries.”
“High hills and moorland occupy a little under a fifth of England, but they and their communities are vital to the health, economic prosperity and quality of life of many millions of people across the country as a whole.”
The inquiry team will also be gathering information and evidence from all corners of England with regional meetings and wider consultation. Click here to find out more about the inquiry. Click here to download the call for evidence.
